Students will understand the importance of diversity in STEM fields, particularly focusing on the contributions of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) individuals. They will explore SECME (Science, Engineering, Communication, Mathematics, and Enrichment) as an organization that promotes diversity in STEM and learn about its impact. Students will also engage in hands-on STEM activities related to SECME's focus areas.
